On Thu 26 Jun 2025 21:00<\/strong> our ensemble<\/span> FOR FREE HANDS<\/a><\/span> <\/strong>will celebrate its 30th anniversary<\/strong> at<\/span> ZigZag Jazz Club<\/span><\/a><\/strong>. (at Hauptstra\u00dfe 89, 12159 Berlin,<\/span> www.zigzag-jazzclub.berlin<\/a><\/span><\/strong>). The oud virtuoso Alaa Zouiten<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, whom we got to know at the Jazz au Chellah festival in Morocco, will also be there.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1995<\/span> Hans Hartmann & Andreas Brunn<\/a><\/strong><\/span> were engaged together for the music for a theatre performance in the garden of Charlottenburg Palace. This was the beginning of a very creative and long-standing collaboration. The first concerts under the<\/span> 4 Free Hands<\/strong><\/span> label took place that year. A short time later, the American drummer Ned Irving joined the project and in 1999 the first joint<\/span> CD “Two Faces”<\/a><\/strong> <\/span><\/span>was released on<\/span> Laika Records<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n

With this concert, we would also like to remember our colleague<\/span> Hans Hartmann<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, who passed away in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n
