Roberto Badoglio<\/span><\/h1>\n

Roberto Badoglio was born in 1984 and started to play bass after he had taken piano courses. When he was 16 he took private lessons in France with Dominique Di Piazza and later on in New York with Mathew Garrison and Skuli Sverrisson. During 2005\/06 he attended to Berklee College of music in Boston, where he also had the opportunity to study privately with trombonist Hal Crook and also to form part of the renowned pianist Joanne Brackeen\u00b4s ensemble. During this period of time he published an album with the fusion band \u201cOddFlow\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

After Berklee he moved to NY City where he joined the band of the pop singer Adama and kept performing in town as well as on international tours with many great musicians of the NY scene, such as Louis Cato, Marko Djordjevic, Brad and Eliot Mason, Hara Garacci, and many others. During this time he recorded his first solo album \u201cRe-Evaluation Time\u201d and released it in 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roberto currently lives in Berlin where he leads the international band \u201cBeyond Turbines\u201d together with Bj\u00f6ssi Kl\u00fctsch on the guitar and with Steve Hunt on the drums. In November 2015 they released their debut album \u201cBeyond Turbines\u201d. It was followed in 2017 by Roberto\u00b4s second solo album \u201cLapse Of Worry\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the moment he is involved in several different projects such as \u201cThe Silent Jazz Ensemble\u201d and he is regularly performing with the band of the saxophonist Reiner Hess \u201cRaumshiff jazz\u201das well as working with the Electronic\/Funk-Project Nu Guinea.<\/span><\/p>\n

Roberto\u00b4s bass sound is characterised for a unique four finger techniqued which he acquired through the mixture of influences from Dominique Di Piazza, Matthew Garrison and Gary Willis.<\/span><\/p>\n
